Callous Burglars Target 90-Year-Old Woman in Vauxhall Home Invasion
Late last night, ruthless burglars broke into the home of a nonagenarian in Vauxhall, leaving her shaken and bruised. The terrifying raid happened at 2:25am on Wednesday, 4th March, when masked men forced their way into a Herm Road residence while the elderly occupant slept.
Burglar Silences Victim, Steals Cash
During the ordeal, one intruder clamped his hand over the woman’s mouth to stop her from crying out. They ransacked the house and made off with a sum of cash. The victim was rushed to hospital, suffering shock and facial bruises.
Police Hunt Alarmed Locals for Clues
Detective Sergeant Richie Shillito condemned the “cowardly and despicable” crime, urging anyone who was near Herm Road at the time to speak up. “Everyone deserves to feel safe in their own home,” he said. “We want to trace the perpetrators and bring them to justice.”
