Teen Fatally Stabbed in Westminster: Family Pleads for Justice

The family of 18-year-old Ahmed Yasin-Ali have paid a heartfelt tribute after he was fatally stabbed in Westminster. The tragic stabbing happened just after midnight on Elmfield Way, W9, sparking a murder probe.

Police Hunt Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

Detective Chief Inspector Vicky Tunstall revealed the attack took place near Harrow Road, a busy West London route. She is urging anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious around 12.30am to come forward – especially motorists with dashcam footage from between 11:45pm and 12:30am.

“Ahmed’s family are devastated by the loss of their son and brother. We’re working tirelessly to uncover the circumstances behind his murder,” said DCI Tunstall. “This was a tragic waste of a young life full of promise and ambition.”

“We urge anyone with information to speak up, no matter how small it may seem. Confidentiality is guaranteed. We’re working closely with local officers to keep the community safe and bring the killers to justice swiftly.”

Family’s Heartbreaking Tribute

Ahmed’s family described him as “our beloved son, brother, and friend” who “wanted nothing but good for everyone.”

They added: “He worked hard at school and his job, dreaming of university and a better future for us all. Ahmed was caring, loving, and clean-hearted — a true neighbourhood hero.”

They also called for peace, warning against revenge. “Ahmed was a victim of youth violence. Out of respect for his memory, we want no retaliation. As Muslims, we forgive those who took our beautiful son from us.”
