Serious Crash on A30 Near Hayle Leaves Three Men Injured
Devon & Cornwall Police have confirmed three men suffered serious injuries in a collision on the A30 near Hayle on Sunday night, 7 December.
Police Car Involved in High-Impact Smash
The crash happened just before 8pm between Roseworthy and Marsh Lane. A police vehicle and two other cars collided in the smash. Several people needed urgent ambulance treatment at the scene, including two police officers.
All three seriously injured men were rushed to hospital. Their families have been informed.
A30 Shut Down for Hours as Emergency Services Respond
Emergency services closed the A30 completely at both St Erth roundabout and the Hayle bypass during the rescue and investigation work. The busy route was finally reopened on Monday morning.
Because a police vehicle was involved, the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has been automatically notified and launched an investigation.
