Murder Probe Launched After Wolverhampton Blaze Kills One
Police have opened a murder investigation following a devastating fire at a Wolverhampton home early this morning. The tragic incident on Plascom Road left one dead and four others injured.
Swift Emergency Response as Victims Found Inside
Officers arrived just after 1.10am, joining paramedics to administer CPR to five people inside the property. All were rushed to hospital. Sadly, a 26-year-old man later died from his injuries.
- A 16-year-old boy remains in critical condition.
- A 52-year-old woman suffered severe burns.
- Two men, one in his 50s and another in his 20s, were treated and released.
Police Work Round the Clock to Find Those Responsible
“This is a tragic incident that has resulted in the loss of one life and injuries to four others. Our team is working tirelessly to understand the circumstances surrounding the fire and identify those responsible,” said Superintendent Martin Hurcomb.
Forensics are examining the scene, with a cordon in place throughout the day. Officers remain on site to reassure the local community.
