Gun Scare in Dagenham: Two Men Arrested After Firearm Sightings
Police were scrambled to Hindmans Way, Dagenham at 7.32pm on Thursday, 24 June after reports of a firearm being spotted.
Helicopter Spots Suspects, Weapon Recovered
Met’s Firearms Command officers, backed by local cops and a police helicopter, launched a swift area search. They found two men, aged 35 and 36, and seized a firearm.
No Injuries Reported as Investigation Continues
The pair were arrested on suspicion of firearm possession and remain in custody at east London police stations. Detectives from East Area Command are investigating but have not ruled on a motive.
