Two Men Held Over Shocking Royal Wootton Bassett Stabbing
Two men remain in custody following a brutal stabbing in Royal Wootton Bassett yesterday (10/09). The violent assault happened just after midday on Rylands Way in a busy residential area.
The victim was rushed to Southmead Hospital with life-threatening injuries but is now stable and receiving treatment.
Police Hunt Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Detective Sergeant Scott Anger said the investigation is ongoing. “We’ve received some useful information from the public, but we need more,” he stated. “If you saw or heard anything suspicious around the time of the attack, please get in touch. Drivers with dashcam footage could provide vital clues.”
A strong police presence is expected in the area as enquiries continue.

Inspector Doug Downing, in charge of the local Neighbourhood Policing Team, acknowledged residents’ concerns. “I understand that extra police patrols might worry locals, but officers are working hard on this case.
