London Rapist Hunt: Police Launch Urgent Appeal After Two Attacks Years Apart

The Metropolitan Police are on high alert as they hunt a man linked to two separate rapes of lone women in London – four years apart. Cops warn the attacker may have struck more victims.

Attacks in Westminster and Shoreditch Linked

The first assault happened in Westminster near The Strand in the early hours of May 5, 2018. The second took place on December 10, 2022, on Curtain Road, Shoreditch. Forensic evidence confirms the same man is behind both attacks.

Despite hours of CCTV footage and the release of an E-fit, the suspect remains unidentified. Police have now shared fresh images to help track him down.

Detective Urges Victims to Speak Out

“These two offences were initially investigated separately due to their different locations, but forensic linking shows it’s the same individual,” said Detective Inspector Chris Heathcote.

“Given the four-year gap, it’s highly likely there are more victims. We urge anyone who has experienced an attack to come forward.”

DI Heathcote warned the suspect targets lone women, especially late at night. “No piece of information is too small—anything could help crack the case.”
