Woman Assaulted Near Lockmeadow Leisure Complex – Police Hunt Suspect
Attack Happens Near River Medway
The shocking incident unfolded between 7pm and midnight on Monday 2 September 2024, close to the Lockmeadow leisure complex. A vulnerable woman was sitting nearby the River Medway when she was approached by an unknown man.
Suspect Tried to Chat Before Assault
The man reportedly tried to engage her in unwanted conversation before launching a prolonged assault. Following the attack, he fled toward the riverbank, heading in the direction of the Millennium Bridge.
Police Describe Suspect
The suspect is described as white, around 5ft 3ins, slim build, dark blond hair, clean-shaven, and wearing a white T-shirt with trainers.
Police Urge Public to Help With Investigation
