Victim targeted for a cigarette demand
Between 9.25pm and 10.20pm on Sunday 25 July 2021, a man walking down Wilfred Road was confronted by three men near an alley leading to Newington Road. One of the men shouted across the street, asking for a cigarette.

When the victim said he didn’t smoke, the trio – including one white man and two black men – closed in and demanded his mobile phone. He tried to run, but they forced him to hand over all his possessions, with one attacker reportedly brandishing a knife.
Bag stolen containing phone, bank card and more
The robbers made off with a black Adidas shoulder bag holding a blue Samsung A215 phone, a bank card, a gold-coloured iPod, headphones, and the victim’s wallet. The victim was punched several times before managing to escape the scene.
Suspects flee towards Ramsgate station
The attackers are believed to have run off in the direction of Ramsgate railway station. Fraudulent activity was later reported on the stolen bank card.
