Teen Girl Found With Mysterious Injuries Near Tesco in Leyland
Lancashire Police are hunting witnesses after a 13-year-old girl was found bruised and confused near Tesco in Leyland last Thursday evening.
The youngster was discovered by a dog walker around 7.30pm on October 5. She appeared disoriented and had significant bruising on her legs. The girl has no clear memory of what happened or how she got hurt.
Police Want to Speak to Good Samaritan Dog Walker
The dog walker who found the girl helped her get home but didn’t leave contact details. Police are now urging him to come forward to assist their inquiry.
Detectives believe the girl was wandering around Canberra Road and King Street before she was found. They want to know if anyone saw her between 6.30pm and 7.30pm that day.
What the Girl Was Wearing
- White, slim build, around 5ft tall
- Long brown hair in a ponytail
- Pale blue shorts
- Black Nike top
- Black, grey and pink trainers
Police Appeal for Information
“We appreciate this is quite a vague appeal but the girl was injured and very confused, with little memory of the previous two hours. We need to establish what happened and whether anything criminal took place,”

The girl told police she met some friends around 5.30pm but has little recall after that until she was helped home.
