Woman Held Over Shocking Murder of Three-Month-Old Baby Girl
A 40-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a three-month-old baby girl was found unresponsive in a Croydon home.
Tragic Discovery in Croydon
Police were alerted by the London Ambulance Service at 11:56am on Saturday, 2 March, following reports of the baby’s critical condition. Officers rushed to the scene and the infant was swiftly taken to hospital.
Despite desperate attempts by paramedics and police, the tiny tot was pronounced dead around 1:05pm. Family members have been informed of the heartbreaking news.

The woman arrested is known to the baby. She remains in police custody as the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command, led by DCI Noel McHugh, launches a full investigation.
