Woman Arrested for Racist Abuse at Birmingham Pub
Racist Rant Rocks Broad Street
Police have arrested a 24-year-old woman from Worcester who allegedly hurled racist abuse at a pub doorman in Birmingham city centre. The shocking incident happened outside the Figure of Eight on Broad Street between 10pm and 11.30pm on Saturday night (22 May).
Suspect Caught After Police Appeal
The woman handed herself in at a police station at midday following a public appeal. She’s also accused of racially abusing another man near the pub entrance and damaging furniture inside the venue.
Authorities Urge Victims to Speak Out
“It’s an awful incident and people are understandably disgusted. We prioritised this investigation, leading to a swift arrest,” said Birmingham Police Chief Inspector James Spencer. “Racist behaviour is totally unacceptable. We’re working with local businesses to keep the city safe and enjoyable.”
Police are still trying to contact the victim and urge him to come forward for a statement. The suspect remains in custody for questioning as the investigation continues.
