Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault that occurred at around midnight on the evening of Thursday 10 November. The incident happened on The Promenade at Westward Ho! near to the Horizon View apartments. A woman was sat on a bench overlooking the sea when she was approached by an unknown man who hit her in the face. The woman fled the scene and raised the alarm. If you were in the area of The Promenade between 11.30pm on Thursday 10 November and 12.30am on Friday 11 November then we want to hear from you.
