A frantic search is continuing for 13-year-old Mia, who has now been missing for more than 48 hours.
Mia, from uk/news/uk/STAFFORDSHIRE" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Staffordshire" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="194159">Staffordshire, was last seen after travelling to the Hednesford area with another girl on Wednesday evening (April 23). She then boarded a train to Walsall, where she was captured on CCTV at around 11.30pm.
The last confirmed sighting of Mia was at 1.20am on Thursday in Erdington, Birmingham.
Description
Mia is described as:
- Around 5ft 4ins tall
- Of slim build
- With shoulder-length blonde hair
On the night she went missing, CCTV footage shows Mia wearing a grey tracksuit, with an unzipped jacket revealing a black top underneath.
Police Appeal
Staffordshire Police said detectives have been “working tirelessly” to find Mia and are increasingly concerned for her welfare.
Detective Chief Inspector Helen Kirkland urged the public to help:
“We’re urging anyone who may have seen Mia or who might know where she is to get in touch with us as soon as possible.
We’re working around the clock to investigate potential sightings and to speak to anyone who may have seen her since she went missing.
We’re worried about her and are asking for any information, no matter how small, that might help us locate her.”
