Police are appealing for witnesses following an unprovoked assault that occurred in Maidstone’s High Street during the early hours of Sunday, October 6, 2024. The incident took place near the town hall at approximately 2:30 am.
Incident Details
The victim, who was near the town hall at the time, was approached by an unknown individual who punched him on the side of his head, causing the victim to fall briefly unconscious. The suspect then fled in the direction of Gabriel’s Hill and King Street, accompanied by another man.
Suspect Description
The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s, with brown, swept-back hair. He was last seen wearing a grey bodywarmer-style jacket.
Appeal for Information
Kent Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the attack or seen the suspect fleeing the scene to come forward. Officers are particularly interested in hearing from taxi drivers or anyone with dash cam footage from the area at the time of the incident.
