Emergency Services Respond After Person Struck by Train at New Southgate Railway Station

Emergency services rushed to New Southgate Railway Station on Pinkham Way, north London, late Wednesday evening after a person was struck by a train, prompting a major response and disruption to services.

The incident was reported at approximately 10:50pm  on 9 April 2025. Multiple emergency response units were deployed, including British Transport Police, paramedics, and incident response teams.

The station, located in North London, was immediately closed off to the public as crews worked at the scene. The condition of the individual involved has not yet been confirmed, and authorities have not released any further personal details.

A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesperson said:

“Officers were called to New Southgate station at 10.50pm following reports of a person being struck by a train. Emergency services attended and are currently managing the scene. Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”

Rail services through the station were severely delayed or suspended, with National Rail and train operators warning of ongoing disruption into the early hours of Thursday.
