West Midlands Police are urgently seeking information from the public following a disturbing incident in which a couple was brutally assaulted in uk/topic/hednesford/">Hednesford. The shocking attack unfolded on Market Street shortly before 00:30 BST on Sunday, October 8.
The victims, both in their 50s, were walking home when they passed by the Jaipur restaurant. At that moment, two unidentified males reportedly emerged from a vehicle, believed to be an Audi A4, and launched a violent assault on the couple. During the assault, the woman was punched in the face, and her courageous partner intervened but was struck on the head with what appeared to be a metal bar. Subsequently, due to the severity of the attack, the male victim required 11 staples to treat his head injuries.
Expressing deep concern regarding the brutality of the assault, PC Lucy Baker stated, “This was a particularly vicious attack, and we are keen to hear from anyone who can help us trace those responsible. If you have any information regarding this incident, please call 101.”
