Police are appealing for information following a robbery on the North Circular Road, and have released dashcam images of the incident. At around 18:25hrs on Saturday, 2 June, two men were travelling in a Mazda RX5 car on the A406 in Finchley. Near to the junction with the A1 and Henley’s Corner, the victim’s car was stationary when two mopeds, carrying four male suspects, rode up on either side. The suspects demanded watches from the two victims. One suspect was brandishing a hammer and the other a large ‘zombie style’ knife. The watches were stolen, an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak with a blue face and a Fossil watch. One of the suspects then jumped on the victim’s car, kicking the windscreen twice causing it to smash. The suspects then jumped back on the moped, heading west on the A406 towards Brent Cross. Following the incident, the driver, a 27-year-old man, realised he had received a knife-cut to his arm. He was treated for his injuries at hospital and has since been discharged. Detectives from Barnet CID are investigating, no arrests at this stage. DC Oliver Kotis from Barnet CID, said: “This was a shocking attack on innocent people in broad daylight. We are determined to bring these violent criminals to justice, but we need the help of the community to find and arrest these people. Anyone who either witnessed this crime, was in the area and has dashcam footage, or anyone with any information should contact police immediately. Your information could be vital in bringing these dangerous men to justice.” Anyone with information should call Barnet CID on 101 or contact via Twitter @MetCC.
