Man Dies After Horror Crash with Lorry in Orpington

A 60-year-old man has died following a serious road traffic collision in Orpington. Detectives are urgently seeking witnesses and dash cam footage to piece together what happened.

Crash on Busy Sevenoaks Road

The crash happened at around 6.45pm on Friday, 25 September at the junction of Sevenoaks Road (A21) and London Road. A red Ford Ka, heading towards Hayes, collided with a Scania lorry.

The man, a passenger in the Ford Ka, was rushed to hospital in critical condition but sadly died from his injuries on Tuesday, 29 September. His next of kin have been informed.

Driver Treated for Minor Injuries, Lorry Driver Questioned

The 28-year-old female driver of the Ford Ka was treated in hospital for minor injuries. The 36-year-old lorry driver remained at the scene and has been interviewed under caution. No arrests have been made.

Police Plead for Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage

The Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is leading the probe. Officers want to hear from anyone driving on Sevenoaks Road around 4.45pm who may have caught crucial moments on dash cam.
