Dry Start to the Week, But Northwest Faces Cloud and Rain
Met Office Chief Meteorologist Paul Gundersen reveals the week kicks off mostly dry and mild, with temperatures hitting the low to mid-teens. Nights will be chilly, with frost possible in some spots. However, the northwest isn’t so lucky—expect breezier, cloudier skies and some patchy light rain.
Midweek Showers Lash the South and East
Rainstorms are rolling in on Wednesday, heavy at times as they sweep east. By Thursday, showers turn patchy but frequent, hitting southern and eastern areas hardest. Prepare for wet spells if you’re in those regions.
Easter Weekend: Sunshine and Showers Duel
Deputy Chief Meteorologist Helen Caughey promises drier weather as Easter begins, with bright, clear spells and light winds across most of the UK. Daytimes will feel pleasant despite chilly nights. Temperatures will hover around the seasonal average.
“While there’s some uncertainty around Easter Sunday and Monday’s detailed outlook, the general trend favors fine weather in the south and east,” said Helen, “but the north and west could see a return to unsettled conditions. Pretty typical spring stuff for us.”
Stay Tuned to the Forecast
Helen advises, “If you’ve got outdoor plans this Easter, keep checking the latest forecast to stay ahead of any changes.”
