Gunman Refuses to Surrender

Armed police remain stationed outside a property on Saxon Road, Southall, amid reports a man with a firearm is holding hostages inside. The suspect is refusing to come out, sparking a tense standoff.

Major Road Closures in Place

Officers were called to the scene at 2.12pm on Thursday, January 21. Since then, multiple roads around The Broadway and Saxon Road have been locked down and traffic diverted as a precaution.

Police and Council Issue Warnings

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to Saxon Road, Southall, at 2.12pm to reports of a man with a firearm. Officers attended. The man has refused to come out of the property when asked. Nearby roads have been closed as a precaution.”

Ealing Council added: “The incident is ongoing. Local roads are closed and traffic diverted. Please follow police advice on accessing cordoned areas. If you are within the cordon, stay inside your home.”
