Tragic End to Boscastle Search as Body Found in Sea at Bude

Search Ends in Heartbreak

Officers hunting for a missing man from Boscastle have made a heartbreaking discovery. At around 6.30pm on 31 January, police and HM Coastguard recovered a body from the sea near Bude. The man was confirmed dead at the scene.

Missing Man Believed Found

While formal identification is yet to be completed, the body is believed to be 37-year-old Alexander Key, who went missing on 24 January. His death is not being treated as suspicious, with a file now passed to the coroner for further investigation.

Mr Key’s family thanked the police, HM Coastguard, and everyone involved in the search. They have requested privacy as they come to terms with their loss.
