British Airways has ditched its name from Brighton’s iconic i360 tower, with logos disappearing overnight. From today, the landmark flies solo, shedding its sponsor to better reflect the city of Brighton and Hove, say the attraction’s bosses.
BA Drops Out as Sponsor
The move comes after heavy financial blows at the height of the pandemic, with the attraction racking up losses of around £5 million. Even now, the council still owes a staggering £48 million on the project.
Brighton i360 Goes It Alone
British Airways’ backing has officially ended, leaving the tower to be known simply as the Brighton i360. This fresh start aims to forge a stronger bond with the local community.
