Early yesterday at 7:30 a.m., John left the hotel planning to explore the New Forest areas around Hythe, Denny Wood, Beaulieu, Dibden, and Marchwood.

- White male, medium build, 5ft 9 to 5ft 10 inches
- Grey hair on the sides, wears glasses
- Likely carrying a hiking pole
- No car, relies on public transport
