Emergency Services Rush to Roof Rescue in Folkestone

Drama unfolded in Folkestone this morning as emergency teams scrambled to help a distressed man stranded on the roof of a busy shopping centre.

Just before 10:30am on Monday, police, fire crews, and a specialist HART team from the South East Coast Ambulance Service were called to Bouverie Place. The man was spotted in distress atop a building, prompting urgent action.

Area Locked Down as Specialists Engage

Authorities quickly set up a cordon, sealing off the side of the Boots store where scaffolding stands. Members of the public were asked to clear the vicinity to allow specialist officers to negotiate with the man and bring the situation to a safe conclusion.

A Kent Police spokesman said: “We were called at 10:30am to Bouverie Place following concerns for a man in distress on the roof of a building. The area has been sealed off and specialist officers are currently engaging with the individual.”
