Pro Golfer’s £500k Home Razed by Lightning Blaze!

Shock struck Bembridge tonight as lightning struck the roof of a luxury home belonging to pro golfer Chris Reed. The PGA star’s half-million-pound property on Egerton Road went up in flames, leaving him with nothing.

Fire Crews Battle Raging Roof Fire

Three fire crews from Ryde, Sandown, and Shanklin jumped into action, sending four fire engines, an aerial ladder platform, and the Incident Command Unit to the scene. Firefighters fought the fierce blaze, which tore through the roof and several rooms inside.

Road Closed as Emergency Services Work

Authorities quickly cordoned off the road while crews battled the inferno and investigated the cause. It’s believed the fire started after a lightning strike hit the roof.

Family Member Hospitalised, Pet Possibly Lost

One member of the Reed family was rushed to hospital by Isle of Wight Ambulance Service following the incident. The family also fear they may have lost a beloved pet in the fire.
