In a statement, his family said: “Our son Juan Pablo Hernández Lima died in a road traffic collision on September 18. He was only 18 and was just starting his dream course at university.” Born in Cuba, Juan Pablo held Mexican and American passports, highlighting his global background. His love for the UK made the loss even more heartbreaking.
Police Appeal for Help
Detective Sergeant Kurt Timpson, leading the investigation, offered his condolences: “My thoughts and those of my team remain with Juan’s family at this very sad time.” DS Timpson has been supporting Juan’s parents, who flew in from Mexico to be by their son’s side.
