Kent firefighters raced to Prospect Place, near Dartford railway station, after a van burst into flames just after 8pm on Friday. The vehicle was quickly engulfed in a fierce blaze on arrival.
Fuel Tank Explosion Adds to Chaos
Fire crews battled the inferno using a hose reel and two breathing apparatus sets. The fire spread to the fuel tank, triggering a loud explosion, intensifying the drama at the scene.
Van Destroyed but Driver Escapes Unharmed
The work van was completely destroyed by the fire. Thankfully, the driver escaped without injury, avoiding what could have been a disaster.
Road Still Closed as Investigation Continues
Part of Prospect Place remains shut while authorities investigate the blaze. Kent Fire and Rescue Service have been contacted for comment.
