Smoke Scare at Buckingham Palace Sparks Fire Brigade Rush
Firefighters from the London Fire Brigade were scrambled to Buckingham Palace last night after reports of smoke billowing from the roof near the flagpoles.
Multiple Crews and Aerial Ladder Deployed
Several fire crews and an aerial ladder were dispatched to the scene just before 8pm on Thursday, rushing to investigate the mysterious smoke.
Cause Unclear as Palace Evacuation Status Unknown
It remains unclear whether Buckingham Palace was evacuated or what sparked the alarm. The London Fire Brigade later clarified the incident was caused by steam triggering the alarm, rather than an actual fire.
“Firefighters were called to Buckingham Palace this evening after steam triggered an alarm,” a London Fire Brigade spokesperson confirmed.
