A tumble dryer went up in flames, wrecking the appliance and damaging part of an outbuilding. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the incident.

London Fire Brigade say the fire started because of the tumble dryer. They warn homeowners to stay alert for any odd noises from white goods.

“If your white goods start making strange noises, don’t ignore them,” a spokesperson said. “Always unplug the appliance and call the manufacturer or a qualified repair technician.”
They added: “Most fires linked to white goods aren’t caused by anything you’ve done. Always register your appliances so you get warnings if there’s a problem.”
Rapid Response From Firefighters
The Brigade received the call at 9.13pm. Two fire engines from Acton and Hammersmith crews arrived quickly, bringing the fire under control by 9.36pm.
