Emergency at Heathrow Terminal 5 After Tug Collides with Aircraft

Chaos erupted at Heathrow Airport tonight as an airport tug crashed into a plane on the stand at Terminal 5 around 10pm. Emergency crews rushed to the scene after the tug scraped the side of an aircraft during taxiing and stand movements.

A source at Heathrow confirmed a full emergency was declared following the collision. The airport confirmed emergency teams are “attending to ensure all passengers and crew are safe and well.”
