Shock in South London as Man and Woman Found Dead
Police have launched a probe after a man and a woman were found dead at a Kingston home in South London. The grim discovery was made during a welfare check at a property on Water Lane at 11:10am on Friday, 23 May 2025.
Officers entered the house to find the body of a woman in her 70s and a man in his 40s. Both deaths are currently being treated as “unexpected” while investigations continue.

“Officers were called to a property on Water Lane, Kingston, at 11:10hrs on Friday, 23 May. A woman believed to be in her 70s and a man in his 40s were found deceased. Their deaths are being treated as unexpected and enquiries are ongoing.” – Metropolitan Police
So far, no arrests have been made. The scene remains sealed off as officers conduct a thorough forensic and coroner-led investigation. A post-mortem is expected soon to determine the cause of death.

The tragic deaths have rocked the peaceful Kingston neighbourhood. One neighbour told MyLondon, “We never saw any signs of trouble. It’s very upsetting for something like this to happen so close to home.”
