Robert Philip “Phil” Longcake, 53, has been confirmed as the man who died in the tragic incident at Dixon’s Chimney on Monday, 28th October. Known for his strength and courage, Phil was admired by family and friends alike.

Remembering a Brave Soul Battling Mental Health

Phil had recently opened up about historic trauma that affected his mental health. Despite this, he fought bravely with the support of family and health professionals. A keen motorcyclist, he loved weekend rides away with his son, Robert.

A Man of Many Passions

Family Mourns a Much-Loved Father and Grandad

Phil’s wife Andrea, children Robert and Laura, their partners Sarah and Darren, his dad Bill, brother John, and many friends are left heartbroken. They cherish the many happy times and memories shared with him.

Funeral details are yet to be announced and will be by invitation only. In Phil’s memory, donations can be made to the mental health charity MIND. The family kindly request no floral tributes.
