Operation Brock Returns Ahead of Christmas Travel Chaos

Get ready for gridlock! Operation Brock is set to restart overnight on 11th December. This comes as travel ramps up towards what promises to be some of the busiest weekends on UK roads before Christmas.

What Is Operation Brock?

In Kent, Operation Brock clamps down on traffic along the M20 motorway. One side of the M20 will be reserved exclusively for heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) heading to cross-Channel ports.

Traffic Restricted to Contraflow

All other vehicles will be squeezed onto a contraflow system running along the opposite carriageway. This means single-lane traffic both ways, adding to the risk of jams and delays.

Motorists should plan ahead and expect major delays as the festive traffic surge kicks in.
