Operation Brock Set to Return Ahead of Christmas Travel Chaos

Brace yourselves! Operation Brock will be back in action overnight on 11th December. This move comes as the UK gears up for what’s expected to be a mad rush on the roads during the busy run-up to Christmas.

What is Operation Brock?

For the uninitiated, Operation Brock is a traffic management system in Kent designed to keep the M20 moving smoothly. It locks down one side of the motorway exclusively for lorries heading to cross-Channel ports.

How Will It Affect Drivers?

  • HGVs get a dedicated lane on one side of the M20.
  • All other vehicles must use a contraflow system on the opposite carriageway.

This setup aims to prevent gridlock and keep vital freight moving despite surging holiday traffic.
