Emergency Equipment Stolen in Brazen Thefts

Police are on the lookout after a man stole multiple defibrillators from Lower Sydenham and New Beckenham railway stations. These vital life-saving devices have been targeted in a shocking series of incidents.

Fake Emergency Call Used to Swipe Defibrillator

On Monday 17 June, a man dialled 999 from New Beckenham Station, falsely claiming the defibrillator was needed to treat an emergency. This ruse allowed him to make off with the crucial equipment.

Repeating Incidents Raise Alarm

  • Similar thefts occurred at Lower Sydenham station on 29 January and 20 June
  • New Beckenham station was targeted again on 7 February

Police Urge Public to Speak Up

Anyone who recognises the suspect is asked to call 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 230 of 18 June. Alternatively, tips can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
