Massive Scrapyard Blaze in Kent Doused Overnight

Firefighters tackled a massive blaze at a Medway scrapyard late Tuesday night. The Kent Fire and Rescue Service were scrambled at 10:35pm to the scene on Street Record.

Six Engines and Bulk Water Carrier Battle Flames

Six fire engines and a bulk water carrier fought the fire with high-pressure hose reel and main jets. Fire crews, decked out in breathing apparatus, wrestled the inferno under control by 12:30am Wednesday.

No Injuries Amid Fiery Chaos

Thankfully, no one was hurt in the blaze. Fire chiefs believe the fire was sparked by a vehicle battery at the scrapyard.
