Huge Blaze Erupts in Hayes Garages – 70 Firefighters Battle Monster Fire
Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters were scrambled to tackle a fierce blaze raging through a row of garages on Balmoral Drive, Hayes. The fire didn’t just stop at the buildings – 20 tonnes of rubbish and a caravan were also engulfed in flames.
Heroic Effort to Tame the Flames
Station Manager Mark Jordan, who was at the scene, praised the crews: “Firefighters worked extremely hard to bring the very visible blaze under control.” Firefighters arrived swiftly after being called at 9.45pm and had the fire under control by 1.30am.
Cause of Fire Still a Mystery
Despite the swift response, the origin of the blaze remains unknown. Investigations are ongoing to uncover what sparked the destructive fire in the Hayes garages.
