Boy, 10, Grabbed by Stranger in Fareham Park

Police have issued an e-fit of a man they want to question after a chilling incident in Fareham’s Cams Alders Recreation Ground.

Young Boys Building Den When Stranger Approached

At around 7pm on Monday 7 August, two boys aged 10 and 11 were building a den in the park when a man they didn’t know began to follow them. Both boys ran off, but one soon returned — only to be grabbed by the man, who grabbed him by the top of his arms.

The boy was unharmed and managed to run home safely.

Officers are keen to trace the man, described as:

  • White, late 40s
  • Between 5ft 10in and 6ft tall
  • Average build
  • Blue eyes
  • Short black hair, balding on top
  • Wearing a red Manchester United football shirt, blue jeans, and black boots

Community Urged to Help Identify Suspect

Fareham’s Neighbourhood Policing Team have been patrolling the area and making enquiries, but no similar reports have surfaced so far.
