Tragic Crash Claims Life of 11-Year-Old Alfie on M3

Police rushed to the M3 southbound slip road at junction 11 just before 9pm on Sunday, 26 December, after a red Nissan Qashqai smashed into a roadside barrier. Horrifyingly, 11-year-old Alfie Mario Aiello-Da Cruz died at the scene.

Family Heartbroken as They Pay Tribute

Alfie’s family released a heartfelt tribute saying, “Our beloved Alfie. We were so lucky to have you in our lives, giving us brightness, joy, and happiness.”

They added, “Taken from us so suddenly and at such a young age, just 11 years old, we will miss you forever. Your love will live in our hearts until our last breath. We hope to meet you again in God’s heaven and finally give you that last hug.”

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Detective Sergeant Mark Furse from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit spoke out about the tragedy: “This is a devastating loss of a young boy’s life. We are determined to uncover what happened and appeal to anyone with information — especially dashcam footage of the vehicle — to get in touch.”
