Blaze Hits Enfield Home: Firefighters Rescue Dog from Flames

Two fire engines and about ten firefighters raced to tackle a house fire on Pembroke Avenue, Enfield, on 18 April.

Half of Ground Floor Damaged but No Injuries

The fire gutted half of the ground floor in a two-storey semi-detached house. Two residents escaped before the Brigade arrived. Brave crews wearing breathing apparatus rushed in to rescue a dog trapped inside. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

Faulty Washing Machine Sparked the Blaze

Investigators believe the fire started due to an electrical fault in a washing machine.

Swift Response by Enfield Fire Station

The Brigade was called at 10:54am and brought the fire under control by 11:14am. Firefighters from Enfield fire station led the quick response effort.
