Tragic Death at Beckenham Junction After Train Collision

A person has died after being struck by a train at Beckenham Junction station just before 6 PM on June 18. Emergency services, including London Ambulance Service and British Transport Police, rushed to Rectory Road after reports of a casualty on the tracks. Despite their rapid response, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

Rail Services Halted Amid Incident

Southeastern Rail confirmed on social media that all lines at Beckenham Junction were temporarily closed while the incident was dealt with. Services have since resumed as normal, but delays were reported during the disruption.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Beckenham Junction railway station just before 6 PM on 18 June following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics attended, but sadly, a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious. A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
