Huge fire response in Littlehampton as blaze breaks out in high-rise flat!
Firefighters Rush to Scene
Dozens of firefighters from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service sprinted to South Terrace, Littlehampton just after noon today. A blaze had broken out in a flat, sparking an urgent call to the fire service.
Seven Engines and Specialist Units Deployed
Emergency crews wasted no time, dispatching seven fire engines, an aerial ladder platform, and a command support unit. On arrival, firefighters quickly donned breathing apparatus and stormed the high-rise, armed with two hose reels and a jet to tackle the flames.
Fire Extinguished, All Residents Safe
Thankfully, the fire is now fully out. Everyone inside the building has been safely accounted for. Several crews remain on site, making sure the area stays safe while dampening down stubborn hot spots.
