New Afghan Arrival Vanishes in Deptford

Mohammed Khan, fresh from Afghanistan and barely a month in the UK, has gone missing in Deptford, south London. His first language is Pashto and his English is limited, making his disappearance even more worrying.

Last Seen Playing Football

Mohammed was last spotted around 4pm on Tuesday, 30 November. He left his home to play football in a nearby park but never returned. Police launched a high-risk missing person search immediately after concerns grew.

Police Concerned for Newcomer’s Safety

Acting Detective Inspector Lara Pink said: “As we enter the second night since Mohammed went missing, we are growing increasingly concerned. He is in an unfamiliar country and doesn’t speak much English. He has only recently arrived in Deptford and won’t know his way around.

“While we are keeping an 1 mind, we cannot rule out that Mohammed has come into contact with people who may wish him harm. It is essential that anyone with information comes forward.”
