Freeview Shake-Up: Retune Your TV Now or Lose Your Favourites!
Big changes are coming to Freeview after Ofcom freed up more airwaves for mobile data. Several channel licences have expired, forcing some channels to switch up how they broadcast. If you want to keep watching, you’ll need to retune your TV – or risk missing out.
What’s Changing on June 29?
- Channel swaps: E4 Extra becomes 31 Music.
- Name and number tweaks: Together TV boosts coverage on channel 83; That’s TV (UK) pushes out on 91; Red Quest +1 expands on 71; BBC Four HD and CBeebies HD ramp up coverage on 106 and 205 respectively.
Heads up! BBC Four HD and CBeebies HD won’t be available during the switch. You can still catch BBC Four on channel 9 (24 in Scotland) and CBeebies on 202 for now.
Channel closure alert: Craft Extra (95) is being dropped from Freeview.
