King Charles III’s Birthday Bash Shakes Up India After 70 Years
The UK hasn’t celebrated a King’s Birthday Parade (KBP) since 1951. King Charles III, born in 1948, became heir apparent when Queen Elizabeth II took the throne in 1952. Beyond his royal duties, Charles has spent decades championing causes like environmental protection, sustainable development, the arts, healthcare, and education.
UK and India Unite for a Star-Studded Celebration
Today’s event in New Delhi dishes up the best from all four UK nations, with mouthwatering food and drink. British pop sensation RIKA (Chandrika Darbari) and Delhi’s femme collective Coven Code are set to light up the stage. Key exhibitors include the British Asian Trust, founded by the King in 2007 to back sustainable projects across South Asia.
The party draws a glittering crowd: Indian government officials, Commonwealth rep’s, business honchos, and top stars from diplomacy, arts, education, research, business, and sports.
