Man Dies After Fall in North Finchley – Woman Arrested on Suspicion of Murder

Detectives from the North West Command Unit are probing the death of a man in North Finchley following a suspected fall from height. Emergency services were called at 3.20pm on Wednesday, 12 February, to High Road, N12, after reports of a critically injured man.

The man, believed to be a 33-year-old originally from Eastern Europe and living locally in Finchley, was pronounced dead at the scene. Formal identification is pending as officers work to inform his next of kin. A forensic cordon remains in place.

Woman in Custody After Tragic Incident

A 28-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder at the scene. She sustained minor injuries and was treated at a north London hospital before being taken to a police station, where she remains in custody. Sources say the victim and suspect were known to each other.

Specialist Crime Command (Homicide) teams have been consulted, but the death is currently being treated as unexplained. A post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.
