Teen Stabbed in Chilling Preston Attack – Two More Arrests Made
16-Year-Old Boy Found with Serious Stab Wounds
Police rushed to a home on Chatham Place at 5.43pm on Wednesday, December 23, after a 16-year-old boy was discovered with stab wounds to his chest and legs. He was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital, where he remains in critical condition. Family members are by his side.
Additional Arrests Shake Up Murder Investigation
The investigation is heating up. Today, officers arrested a 20-year-old man and 28-year-old woman from Preston on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both are currently in custody.
Meanwhile, Preston magistrates have granted officers more time to question three males arrested Thursday:
- A 16-year-old boy from Preston and an 18-year-old man from Leyland, both held on suspicion of attempted murder.
- A 17-year-old boy from Preston, questioned over conspiracy to commit murder.
A 36-year-old woman from Leyland, arrested for assisting an offender, has been released under investigation.
Police Urge Preston Locals to Speak Out
“This incident has left a teenage boy battling for his life,” said DCI Lee Wilson. “My thoughts are with him and his family at this extremely distressing time. While arrests have been made, our inquiries continue.”
“This appears to be an attack on a defenceless young man. I urge the Preston community – especially in Deepdale – to come forward with any information. No detail is too small and all information will be treated in the strictest confidence.”
