Knife Arrests After Stabbing in Canterbury Lane Horror
Two men have been charged with possession of a bladed article following a serious stabbing in Canterbury.
Victim Stabbed in Broad Daylight
Just before 10pm on Saturday, 9 April 2022, a man was attacked by a group in Canterbury Lane. He suffered a stab wound and was rushed to a local hospital but has since been discharged.
Knife Seized on Ashford Train
Police tracked down two suspects traveling on a train through Ashford and seized a knife as part of their investigation.
Suspects Named and Court Dates Set
- Troy Reid, 19, from Peckham, south London, faces charges for possession of a bladed article, plus possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.
- Ramone Thompson, 22, from Peckham Rye, also charged with possession of a bladed article.
Both appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday 11 April and were remanded in custody. Their next court date is 9 May at Canterbury Crown Court.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Officers continue to hunt for more information and urge anyone who saw the stabbing or knows anything to come forward.
