Elderly Man Dies After Horror House Fire in Hastings

An man in his 80s has tragically died after a house fire tore through a property on Milward Road, Hastings, in the early hours of Thursday, April 27.

Rushed to Hospital but Couldn’t Be Saved

Emergency services rushed the elderly victim to hospital following the blaze. Sadly, he passed away the next day, Friday, April 28. His family have been informed and are receiving support from police officers.

Fire Not Treated as Suspicious but Investigation Ongoing

Police say the fire is not suspicious but are still carrying out enquiries for the Coroner’s Office. The case has officially been referred to the coroner as investigations continue.
